My Keynote is not opening. I'm using High Sierra on a MBP mid-2010. Worked fine until just recently. I'll go to Keynote, go to file, select open or open recent, and nothing happens.

Why keynote could not be opened after updated to MacOS Big Sur After my mac was updated to MacOS Big Sur, my keynote could not be opened. What should I do?
Keynote crashes on startup Hey all, Keynote won't open any more without crashing within a second. I am running Big Sur 11.2.3 on a MacBook Air M1 from 2020. I also reinstalled it and removed all the settings, preferences and cache files I could find but it keeps crashing on startup! Any hints how to get it working again? My next presentation is in two hours and I start to panic! Thanks!

Use the search function to look for a copy of the Keynote application both on your Mac and all connected drives.
1 search your Mac, not just the system drive
2 Type in "Keynote" in the search box
3 this result has found a Keynote application
4 right click the application and select Show in enclosing folder
5 move the application to the trash and then empty the trash

two things to try
Create a new user account:
1 - go to System Preferences > Users & Groups
2 - click the lock button and enter your user ID
3 - click the plus ( + ) button
4 - in the New Account dropdown menu, select Administrator and enter the information required
6 - test Keynote in the new account
If that does not work, try a complete reset of Keynote as described below, perform all the steps, in the order listed.
Reset Keynote by completing all of the following steps in the order listed:
1 - ensure you have a current backup of all your user files, saved to a separate drive
2 - close all applications
3 - uninstall Keynote; for this procedure to work, an application removal tool must be used, App Delete has a free trial and works well for this procedure. It can be downloaded from the developer’s website here: App Delete
4. empty the Trash (Finder > Empty Trash)
5 - restart the Mac in Safe mode (Apple Menu > Restart); Immediately after the Apple startup sound, press the shift key on the keyboard, release shift when the Apple icon appears. Start up will take longer than usual as the Mac is performing a software repair of the start up drive
6 - After the Mac is fully powered up, restart the Mac normally: Apple Menu > Restart
7 - reinstall Keynote from the Mac App Store Application
8 - Restart the Mac again normally
Please report back on how this went for you
