Some of the manuals listed on this page and in the navigation bar are available in PDF format for free. Large copies are divided into smaller files for ease of downloading. Michigan Pesticide Applicator Training Manuals

(Certification, Recertification and Registered Technician Information)

Manual Requirements by Applicator Type: Dates in parenthesis indicate the earliest date at which the manual can be used as a study guide.

PRIVATE Applicators - Applicators using or supervising the use of restricted-use pesticides for the purpose of producing an agricultural commodity on their own lands or their employer's land, or on land rented to them.

Additional Standards for Private Applicators: If you apply pesticides aerially or for fumigation purposes, you must obtain the appropriate STANDARD. Order study materials listed below (in addition to the core manual) if you are performing aerial or fumigant applications of pesticides:

REGISTERED Technicians: Applicators authorized to apply general-use and restricted-use pesticides for a commercial or private agricultural purpose, or as a scheduled and required work assignment in the course of employment.
